BLACKWATER RIDGE is the home of Hearts & Hooves, and is located just outside of Sherwood Park off Anthony Henday. Hearts & Hooves is so blessed to be able to have BLACKWATER RIDGE all to our ourselves where everything has been built to specially accommodate out little horses.

In 2006, thanks to donations, grants and many friends and volunteers Hearts & Hooves was able to build a home for our programs and for the horses. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful home. Thank you to each and every person who built our dream.

In 2007 we were able to build extensive fencing over 6 acres with wonderful electric fencing materials donated by Electro Braid, it is a special fence to keep the Minis safe inside and predators safely away.

In 2008 we are celebrating the completion of the Hearts & Hooves’ Recreational Building where our volunteers and visitors meet. We are so pleased to be very close to finishing our barn area thanks to donations made on behalf of our little Teddy who sadly had to leave us far too early, the second stall was gifted to us by a local group of wonderful ladies with the South Cooking Lake Chapter of the I.O.D.E.

A most beautiful addition to Heart & Hooves has been the gates custom designed and hand-made by Jason Hardy of Heavenly Gates. We are so proud of our fancy new gates donated so kindly to us by Heavenly Gates, a touch of class.
