Our Biggest Needs

Sponsorship of Horses - Some of the horses here at Hearts & Hooves have been rescued, others have found their way here through a variety of means, but they all call it home. We try to get each horse a blanket for the winter, farrier work every 2 months, regular deworming and shots, as well as additional medicines as needed. Of course it is also nice to keep treats around like carrots, crunchies, and oats. Each horse is different, but they all need a little TLC. Consider buying a horse a blanket for the winter, a bag of oats, a pedicure..We'd be grateful, and so would they.


Sponsorship of Visits - As a Charity we struggle to meet the cost to care for, rescue, and provide for our horses, never mind covering our fuel, and insurance costs. We are hoping to find individuals, families, and/or businesses that would like to sponsor a weekly, monthly, or yearly visit. What a tremendous way to give to others, by enabling us to go on a visit

Corporate Teambuilding Ideas

There are always new projects happening at BLACKWATER RIDGE to benefit Hearts & Hooves and the little horses. If you or your group would like to make a difference helping out please contact Hearts and Hooves and learn more about the variety of opportunities available. Our group volunteer days are celebrated in appreciation with a warm fire, snacks, and good company here at the farm with the little horses.
